Review of Buried (2010) by Geoffrey T — 11 Apr 2012
You may or may not have heard of Buried, but you owe it to yourself to check it out. It's a remarkably original film, and one I would imagine was very difficult to write and produce. If you can't figure it out, it's about a man that wakes up buried in a coffin with only several devices that make light, and a cell phone.
Literally the entire film takes place in the coffin. There's no flashbacks, no fantasies, nothing. Just Ryan Reynolds in a coffin. Within the constraints of that premise, I imagine that you think this might be a hard movie to be excited about.
Well...it feels like 15 minutes. This is a thriller that really thrills. I don't want to give anything away because it will spoil the excitement of the movie, but it's a good one.
