Review of Bunraku (2010) by Cameron R — 10 Sep 2011
Amazing stylistically and an A+ in originality, but as cool and unique as the characters and story line was, it could have been better. I can't quite put my finger on which flaw stuck out most. The transitions were sometimes overly stylistic to the point where you didn't understand how they got from one place to a completely different place.
And for a mostly linear story telling point of view, it jumped around to weird places and Demi Moore's character was completely useless. It's a shame when a movie casts a star just to get people to see the movie even if the star doesn't quite fit.
But that's my two cents.
