Review of Bunraku (2010) by Yvette M — 18 May 2014

I actually really liked this movie. It took me a bit to get in to it but then I started to really like it. At first it seemed clumsy until I realised it is actually supposed to be this way as it is based on the traditional Japanese puppet theater called Bunraku.

I think it's also supposed to be like a motion picture pop-up-book which is why everything looks like it's made from paper and cardboard and looks extremely stylised.
