Review of Bumblebee (2018) by Healingtoolbox — 27 Feb 2019
Everything working pitch perfect here, especially the female lead. Not as much healthy Girl Power as Wonder Woman or Alita Battle Angel (go see it) but still a great deal of feminine woman feeling, thanks to the female lead, female scripter and I think Spielberg himself in the third act plotting.
More than any almost any other Spielberg Exec Produced movie, this feels like and is scripted like a successful 1980s Spielberg pic, a remarkable achievement in itself. Hard to find any faults. All producton levels at triple A level, just below Alita Battle Angel which goes a bit beyond AAA given Weta's participation.
