Review of Bumblebee (2018) by Tommy H — 04 Jan 2019

Instead of making the decepticons blurt out evil phrases against humanity and autobots like Bay's films, Bumblebee gives personality and character to its decepticons. Enjoyable especially as an 80's movie.

Negatives are that Charlie's relationship with her father feels forced like they have to remind you every time she's interacting with her family that her father died. Also a weird way of introducing the male side character by having him walk into her garage unannounced like random strangers do that.

Second time watching it seemed a bit slow, slower than the first transformers movie.
