Review of Bumblebee (2018) by Peggy M — 31 Dec 2018
Out of all of the movies within the Live-Action Transformers series, Bumblebee I feel stands above that came before. I feel that a more simplistic story as well as using a more classic design for the characters gave way for a movie to be enjoyed by Transformers fans both young and old.
I was also happy to see that this movie did not follow the Michael Bay plotline, where in which an ancient item of great power must be found to save the world. This movie stuck with a more simple and lighthearted plotline that was easy to follow as well as enjoy.
Overall I feel that the movie was well made and had my attention through the entirety. If I had to say one bad thing about the movie however, it would have to be the Charlie's parents. To me they seemed very fake and I felt that they were ignoring Charlie's emotions and feelings about the loss of her father.
But I can overlook that minor flaw and still give this movie a 10/10.
