Review of Bumblebee (2018) by Brandt E — 01 Jan 2019
I'm 15 years old, so superheroes and transformers, the ladder in particular, pretty much define my childhood. So believe me when I say I know my stuff when it comes to giant robots. And I love movies, but I'm not onligated to look at them from a critical standpoint, but as a casual watcher.
And with both these things in mind, and considering that I actually love every transformers movie ever, Bumblebee is an incredible movie. The amount of heart is unprecedented in a transformers movie, while retaining all the action you would expect.
As a die hard fan like myself, you won't be disappointed. If you simp!y like these movies, you won't be disappointed. Even if you really just want a movie to see this weekend, you won't be disappointed.
It's also worth mentioning that the soundtrack is amazing given the story takes place in the '80s, and the acting is also fantastic. John Cena plays a unique character treading the line between an admirable soldier and a villian.
Hailee Steinfeld is particularly incredible, showing a lot of emotion and strength in the character. At the end of the day, all rambling and praise aside, Bumblebee is a great movie. Nuff said.
