Great movie. Anyone that was a teenager in the 80s will love this movie. It's not really a Transformers movie... more like a Goonies/ET/Stand By Me type of movie with a Transformers backdrop.
It is a coming of age movie about a girl trying to find herself growing up in the 80s and a few very clever moments with some soundtrack from the 80s. The Director really didn't need to use the Breakfast Club as a metaphor for what was happening.
... we're not all that stupid!
