Review of Bullitt (1968) by Essi P — 16 Jun 2009
Bullitt isn't a brilliant film, but a damn good one. The car chase alone is top notch and the performances were great. Steve McQueen totally steals the show and this is one of his most iconic roles.
The film is in high respect because you can tell that other brilliant cop films like "Dirty Harry", "Lethal Weapon", and "Heat" were inspired by this. The finale to "Heat" is totally like the finale to "Bullitt.
