Review of Bullitt (1968) by Rod A — 08 Feb 2009
There's a conflict going on between the bohemian luxury of the San Francisco and the gritty maneuvers of police, lawyers, and criminals. Steve McQueen protects the intellectuals and the average joes from the gangsters.
In doing so, he may be losing a bit of himself. This film acknowledges progress but also maintains it's necessary to use lethal force in order to protect the tribe. The chase scenes are pretty exciting too.
