Filmed with legendary style and dripping with nail-biting suspense, "Bullitt" moves at a deliberate, methodical pace, only getting better as it goes along. Steve McQueen's low key performance goes well with Peter Yates' expert direction, and there are several well-edited scenes, including a lengthy car chase and a thrilling hospital foot chase.
