Review of Bullet to the Head (2012) by Paul S — 10 Feb 2013
Bullet to the Head, is a really silly, predtictable, mindless action film, but for some strange reason I had some fun watching this film. Yes, the movie was filled with action movie cliches and corny dialogue, but it felt like I was watching an old school 80's action movie, which felt cool and despite it being a little corny at times, I had fun with it.
I thought, Sylvester Stallone and Sung Kang were a pretty good team and I thought, Jason Momoa was a pretty good villain. As for the action, the action of course was great to watch, it was bloody, it was intense and of course it was really enjoyable to watch.
Me, being a huge fan of 80's action movies was probably the main reason why I enjoyed this movie as much as I did, I don't think I enjoyed this movie more than, The Last Stand, but I still enjoyed it.
This movie, is pretty much what The Expendables movies should have been, they should have been these fun 80's type action movies, not these lame, dull and poorly acted action movies. Now, I'm not saying this film was terrific or anything because it wasn't by no means, the writing wasn't very clever, some of the co-stars in the film were awful and the story is incredibly predictable, but all that can't hide the fact that this movie is fun to watch.
So, I'll recommend this movie to you action film lovers, if you love 80's action movies and you love Stallone movies than I think you will have a blast with this one.
