Review of Bullet (1996) by Ryan S — 17 Jul 2007
Interesting performances; more than the typical revenge flick. The violence is, interestingly, poorly executed and doesn't seem to match the art-house style of the rest of the film. Adrien Brody, Ted Levine, and Mickey Rourke play a family of original and slightly off-the-wall characters and Tupac rocks as a cold-hearted villain with respect for the one man who can match his power (Mickey Rourke).
I wanted it to be better, and with different direction, it might have been, because the performances are so strong and the writing so special, but it still stands as an above-average hidden gem of a movie.
