This is a top notch doco, and it helps that the subject matter and his supporting interviewees are all quite interesting and congenial towards the camera. Ok, I admit the bono/penn thing was a little worthy of some eyeball rolling, but all smiles through Tom Waits and Harry Dean Stanton.
Bukowski drinking and crying is a classic scene.
