If you can get past the slightly unsettling notion of pre-teens in lipstick and more disturbing fact that (Jodie Foster aside) NONE of the kids are much cop at acting, this is an enduringly offbeat classic.
Anyway, it's been with us for so long now it's just part of the furniture - but some scenes still affect: Knuckles killed by a backfiring Splurge Gun, plus pretty much every song is ace. Two, three four.
