Review of Bud Abbott and Lou Costello Meet Frankenstein (1948) by Brad C — 02 Aug 2007
I have seen this film literaly fifty times or more and even though I can recite it word for word and know exactly whats coming I still can't hold back the gut wrenching laughter. Truly one of the best and most enduring comedies of all time.
Definatly the best in the horror genre. The timing of the gags.. the story a brilliant mix of comedy and drama, the special effects, the mood and atmosphere and the boys...bud and lou.. An honourable metion goes to Bela Lagosi as Dracula,Glen Strange as the monster, Lon Chaney Jr.
as Talbot the tortured soul who becomes a wolf at the rising of the full moon, and Vicent price in a cameo as the invisable man...
