Review of Bud Abbott and Lou Costello Meet Frankenstein (1948) by Russell G — 02 Oct 2007
Please to meet you. Good film blending family comedy with, in our vantage, classical monsters. So considering back then in the 40's or if you're really young now, this film was probably really scary also.
The writing in this movie isn't something to be hailed (Lou Costello said his daughter could write something better) so your attention may drift at times. Still, this film is an early mesh of two seemingly compatible genres and after 50 years, still provides a cheery humor.
Good first impression.
