Review of Bud Abbott and Lou Costello Meet Frankenstein (1948) by Ben D — 14 Apr 2012
It is certainly one of the better films from this comedy duo of the golden age. I never quite warmed to them, though, in the way I did with Stan and Laurel. They always seemed cruder, base in their approach to comedy, and often lacked the subtle poetry that infused Stan and Laurel's best work.
Nevertheless, this one is very funny at times, and certainly there are worst ways to spend a rainy Sunday afternoon.
