Review of Bubba Ho-tep (2002) by John C P — 19 Aug 2012
Once you get passed the insanely original premise the rest of the movie is a somewhat mediocre. However, kudos to the constant quirky approach. It most certainly is the definition of a cult movie, not surprising coming from the director of Phantasm.
But the whole thing is silly and a little juvenile with no real weight to it. It's a gimmick that is always curious but leaves you feeling shallow.
