Review of Bubba Ho-tep (2002) by Bill M — 05 Nov 2012
A unique, weird and very funny little gem about an ageing Elvis and an old black man who as it turns out, is actually JFK, teaming up to fight a soul sucking mummy stalking their retirement home, Bubba Ho-Tep is both a seriously strange horror comedy, and also a really, surprisingly sad commentary on getting old and being forgotten.
Featuring possibly the great Bruce Campbell's best performance as old Elvis, which is, id seriously say the greatest portrayal of "the King" ever, and he and Ossie Davis as old black JFK are just wonderful together.
A great little "one of a kind" type film.
