Review of Brute Force (1947) by Nathan H — 25 Feb 2008
Innovative for it's time. The level of violence is ahead of the curb. Dassin's brooding drama has a seemingly endless list of quotes, brilliant acting and perfect noir style. Beautiful brooding drama crescendoed by its decision to not drift into simply mindless violence, but still beautifully captures the brutality of post WWII America.
