Review of Brotherhood (2011) by Jonathanc — 10 Oct 2011
Is it really just me, or has fraternity plots like this, been so over done its more like an urban myth now. Boy forgotten about, left in trunk of car, dies. Fraternity sticking together with one of them always have second thoughts and eventually comes clean, or saves the day.
Nothing in this film is truly original. The script is average, the acting is just above tolerable (else I would have not sat through it). To its credit, the young actors certainly show that they are talented, and we can expect to see more of this cast in other films, I am sure.
I would say this is a good movie to cut their teeth on and hone their skills, but as a seriously entertaining movie, it falls short. Probably more enjoyable for someone who is not familiar with this cliche plot.
