Review of Brother Bear (2003) by Cj S — 02 Mar 2009
Rather generic when compared to Disney's offerings in the past, but it's actually not bad as far as late pre-3D Disney goes! The animation is decent enough. The songs... well, the songs aren't too bad, all things considered.
The morals aren't pounded into your head and it handles the material with relative maturity, even if it tidies itself up a bit too fast and convenient. I'm rather pleased, though, with the non-conventional resolution.
The two moose, of course, are the highlight, but the funniest moment had to be the poor deformed bear laughing at his reflection during the credits sequence. All in all, a pleasant, if unremarkable experience.
