Review of Brooklyn's Finest (2010) by Tabitha S — 08 Oct 2010
This film is an interesting, entertaining, and riveting crime drama. This is one of the most emotionally intense films I have ever seen. The constant tension in this film is incredible. This film obviously takes palce in Brooklyn, New York in the projects.
The story follows three different cops and their different conflicts and struggles they face. The film starts a little slower and it really gets you in to the characters though. Some may say it started a little to slow but I think the longer character development makes the film a better film.
you are so ingrosed in these characters that by half way through you feel what they are feeling and this really makes this movie an excellent one in that respect. Don Cheadle has a commanding performance in this film.
it was good to see Wesley Snipes in a real movie again instead of another one of those stupid over done action flicks. All of the main actors were great in this film but Don Cheadle really stands out in this one.
This film is dark. There is a lot murder, crime, shooting, cursing, and all the stuff that comes with it. There is a real dark theme to this film and the intensity of it is almost too much for the viewer.
The film was very well done and has a great and well written story but however it is very long and very intense emotionally. This is a tragic crime drama with an ending that will leave your hearts sinking.
yeah it is a well done movie but not always the most entertaining or enjoyable film. never the less it had an amazing story line a great cast and was an absoulutley incredble film experience no mater what.
OVerall grade B+.
