Review of Brooklyn (2015) by The D — 11 Mar 2016
A simple, old fashion story masterfully told and acted. A wonderful story, Oscar-worthy performance by Saoirse Ronan and masterful direction make this focused film my personal favorite of 2015. In a weird kind of way it reminds me of Whiplash - my favorite of 2014 in this (although they are very different stylistically).
Any plot revelations here would be spoilers, so just go enjoy an unforgetable American story you already know so well.
