Review of Brooklyn (2015) by Rosemary R — 14 Feb 2016

A well-acted romcom with unique backdrop but extremely slow and sugary sweet. All the characters, including the nastiest, are almost forcefully made likeable possibly to prevent the development of any awkwardness in any relationships.

Everyone is understanding and helpful - almost heavenly. The result - a romcom that remains in the same dimension and almost at the same pace with viewers' emotions almost always left staid as everything else in the movie.
