Review of Brooklyn (2015) by Tj B — 20 Feb 2016
A lovely film with a simple premise and excellent performances and superb writing. Saoirse Ronan stands out as a sympathetic young Irish woman immigrating to American in the 1950's. The dialogue has an emotional sincerity that is well balanced with humor.
This is one of my favorite films of the year and I highly recommend it, especially to those that may have a cynical view on love or the American dream.
