Review of Bronson (2009) by Eric H — 28 Sep 2011
Unfortunately, it's excessively exploitative nature takes away from the final product. However, Nicolas Winding Refn directs this powerfully, with such audicity and confidence in his work. The main reason to watch this is Tom Hardy, who proves himself to be one of the most criminally (pun intended) underrated actors today.
He completely inhabits the lead role, making it compelling at times. This has also been called "the A Clockwork Orange of our generation". That should tell you something about what you are getting yourself into.
