Review of Bronson (2009) by Nathan C — 18 Jan 2017
Hardy's performance is a tour de force, but it's Winding Refn's stylish directing and the clever script the aspects that make Bronson such a memorable experience. If you see it as an intricate psychological study of an anarchic and nihilistic character, or as a black comedy about a man who's only ambition is to defy the system by fighting prison guards naked, doesn't matter, it delivers.
