Tom Hardy's performance is phenomenal. I read a review that called this "the A Clockwork Orange of our generation." It's pretty damn close in terms of shock value and a tour-de-force of music, direction, and acting by Hardy.
I expect great things to come from Director Nicolas Winding Refn (DRIVE was great, too!).
