Review of Broken Flowers (2005) by Adam A — 02 Mar 2009
The subtlety and deliberation are key to this film, but Murray's characters stays locked away behind that stone face until the very end, when it is only slightly unlocked... the symbolism and open endedness could lead to some good conversations, but the movie does not seem to really direct us there enough.
Again, being open ended can be good, but this one really doesn't seem to even be able to decide on a direction!
