Review of Broken Flowers (2005) by Ingrid V — 02 Nov 2010
As subtle and insightful as always by the master Jarmusch. Except from incredible photography and expressive imagery, the subtle and insightful communication of the juxtaposition of a lonely man and a seducer (a broken flower) is beyond comprehension.
However, I am a bit tired of Murray's apathetic acting by now. All in all, a great piece with that suggestive and appropriate soundtrack accompanying a story about the human soul which characterizes Jarmusch.
I really enjoyed the supporting role of Winston (the neighbour, not the dog). Finally, I have now realized that Jarmusch is a bit Lynchy-y... let's hope that won't prevail.
