Review of Broken Flowers (2005) by Matthew W — 11 Nov 2010
Ok before I start I should say I am a massive Bill Murray fan. Being a teenager and growing up with him in movies I have loved his work since the early days of Stripes and Caddyshack right up the the present day, he can`t do no wrong in my eyes.
I found this movie upbeat and highly enjoyable about friendship and reflection. A bewildered Bill Murray tracks down old loves in the form of Julie Delpi, Sharon Stone and Frances Conroy, when his past catches up with him.
This was superbly directed by Jim Jarmusch who I was only aware of from the superb Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai movie. I would think this movie would split people`s opinions in the same way marmite does but I really enjoyed it especially Bill Murray.
