Review of Broken English: Three Songs by Marianne Faithfull (1979) by Sean M — 22 Aug 2007
A great slice of life movie, though it's far longer than it needs to be. The movie does focus on one woman's search for love, but it's not a romance. It reflects on life and loneliness, and through Nora's experiences asks whether we seek out relationships for love or just to keep us from feeling alone.
It's not something everyone will like, but it is decent enough to kill an evening of boredom.
