Review of Broken English: Three Songs by Marianne Faithfull (1979) by Jane K — 07 Aug 2008
This was a very well-written, well-performed and well-produced film. Parker Posey is solid, as usual. My only critique is that the reunion scene at the end with Julian and Nora could have been introduced 10 or 15 minutes earlier in the film.
I don't have to have films all buttoned-up and resolved at the end, but more dialogue and discovery between the two would have been interesting. That said, I really enjoyed this film.
