Review of Brokedown Palace (1999) by Lena — 05 Oct 2008
Somehow I missed this movie in my high school tenure, but I caught it on the many movie channels that Dish Network provides (c'mon, it's Claire Danes and Kate Beckinsale, was I really not going to stop out of sheer hotness curiosity).
The film hasn't aged well despite the fact that the stars absolutely have, it all feels cliche although it's nothing that I've never really seen before - but the acting is tremendous. Kate should go back and take a look at her subtle performance here and realize what she's been doing wrong the past three or four films.
