Review of Brokeback Mountain (2005) by Robin A — 12 Aug 2012

Look I liked the movie, didn't love it. The acting and especially the emotional moments were GREAT! Just like I'd heard they would be.

The story didn't quite catch me though for some reason. Maybe I'd hoped for something a little deeper...

Ledger really proves he was a great actor when he, believably, portraits his character from the age of 20 something to early 40. Amazing.

I was ready to be heartbroken and even though the final turn really wasn't bad at all it seemed like they had themselves to blame for a lot and the forbiddeness of their love wasn't quite as obvious as I had expected.
