Review of Brokeback Mountain (2005) by Dov D — 04 Mar 2013
I, like nearly every guy I know, was skeptical of seeing this film because of the central plot. After finally watching this movie, I regret waiting to see this movie so much. Director Ang Lee produces a fantastic adaptation of E.
Annie Proulx's story, utilizing the exceptional on screen talents of Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal. Ledger was especially phenomenal with his portrayal of a down-on-his-luck passionate cowboy who feels the need to hide his true feelings almost always.
Bottom line, this movie is a tad slow and the timeline can get jumbled pretty easily, but the emotions are as raw and true as it gets and I would recommend this movie to anyone who has ever held back from something or someone they love.
