Review of Brokeback Mountain (2005) by Brandon R — 02 Aug 2012
I had to let this movie pass for 7 years before I finally got the chance to watch it. This is because I was scared of the concept and the possibilities. But I'm telling you, this movie is so moving, awesome, and has class.
It tackled its essence -- society's homophobia and the right to love freely -- with genuine candor and subtlety. Great job Ang Lee and the Actors.. Looking back, this, in my opinion, should have won Best Picture instead of Crash.
The spontaneous acting of Jake and Heath notwithstanding Michelle were truly remarkable deserving of the Oscar's. Heath has left a great legacy and an eternal print of Great acting in this movie -- a new legend that is.
