Review of Broadway Danny Rose (1984) by Daniel C — 29 Dec 2009
The funniest story about Danny Rose, as told by several of his colleagues. Danny Rose is the manager of a bunch of lousy artists nobody wants to have: a one legged tap dancer, a stammering ventriloquist, a blind xylophone player, and some senior balloon folders.
Only singer Lou Canova has the potential to make a come-back during a nostalgia wave, as long as he stays off the booze. It's the fate of Danny Rose that as soon as his artists become successful, they trade him in for a better manager.
The only thing he gains is Tina, Lou's former mistress.
