Review of Broadway Danny Rose (1984) by Kwende M — 22 Mar 2008
I love the Carnegie Deli. The prices are stupid, the portions are stupid, the food is better at 10 other places - go figure.
Now the movie. I have a new theory about watching movies after you have seen them years ago and liked them DO IT. First of all some movies you think yoiu have seen, but you haven't. They become part of the collective consciousness and with movie clips, Oscar tributes etc., biographies, you feel you know the story. I re-discovered Midnight Cowboy and recognized I hadn't seen all of it!. Danny Rose I have seen a few times for sure, but this last time I saw it, my mood was such that I was really paying attention to the relationship between Tina and Danny Rose. Also the look on Woody Allen's face, after he has been dumped as Lou's manager is brilliant! One of Woody's best - he's still a creep though.
