Very weird. The characters talk in an unrealistically self-reflexive way about the fact that they are in a love triangle. It completely short-circuits the romantic tension in favor of meta-analysis. And the ending is both completely foreseeable and a dud to anyone who bothered to invest any emotion in rooting for a more decisive outcome.
