Review of Bringing Out the Dead (1999) by Brian C — 13 Aug 2012
It's no Raging Bull or Taxi Driver, but Scorsese delivers another movie that glues you to the screen and gets under your skin for days on end. Structurally, it's a mess, and very little gets resolved, but every scene is compelling in some way.
Scorsese couldn't make an underwhelming movie if he tried.
