Although in a way exposes a dark theme and especially deals with an unhealthy obsession, Brigsby Bear manages to maintain a balanced tone without leaning too much for the drama but without falling into comic excesses.
In the end it's more optimistic than moralistic or pessimistic and that is an interesting and welcomed breath of fresh air.
