Review of Brighton Rock (2010) by Tanveer A — 24 Oct 2011
Ok, ish. Despite being based on a Graham Greene novel, the plot lacks cohesion and momentum. However, the movie has a style and feel that papers over the iffy plot. In addition, Sam Riley, Andrea Riseborough and supporting cast (incl Helen Mirren and John Hurt) put in good performances, adding to the classy feel of the movie.
