Review of Bright (2017) by Ken R — 03 Jan 2018
Pay no mind to the Hollywood Philistines. They're only about protecting their businesses by shilling the big studios, or echoing whatever seems trendy in the Holywood Bubble. (Spelling is intentional).
Is this a GREAT movie? No. But it is a fun movie with a solid story line, engaging and real characters how you might have a beer with, odd and dark humor, excellently believability in world building using established lore, and it has some interesting concepts.
Netflix took a shot, and they did well.
On the negative; this should have been at least 2 parts, 3 would've been better. I understand why it wasn't, but for those that like their movies leaner, Bright was too jam-packed with story, visuals and stuff that just didn't have the time to get unpacked properly.
I've watched it twice now and liked it both times.
As for the critic's, remember that these are the pimps and whores who claim the Last Jedi is the best thing since sex. While I'm a sci-fi fan, I'm not a star wars fanboy, or even a diehard fan, but if you are going to make a sequel movie it needs to be PART of the sequel and should have a semblance of a storyline. FAIL.
Those sycophants proclaimed jedi to be the 2nd coming.
Watch shows and movies that sound interesting to you, and pay no mind to the shilling whores and pimps who only sell for whoever pays them the most.
