I get why the critics gave a low review...to a point. it reminded people of various recycled movie plots. But and a big BUT...it came up with a unique concept and made a modern day fairytale. I enjoyed the multiple genre benders and it didnt hurt for Will Smith to shine a little acting magic to the mix.
The film is extremely enjoyable both fun and a little violent where it needs to be. Definitely give it a shot before you decide to ignore due to critics reviews.
