Heck with DC and Universal...this is the cinematic universe that I want. If you like urban fantasy and great detective movies this is it. In terms of book influence if you like Jim Butcher, Richard K. Morgan or Ilona Andrews you will love this.
If you liked Kiss Kiss Bang Bang or any other Shane Black action movie you will love this. I have never been this blown away by a movie that came from out of nowhere...not only because I'm a huge fan of the subject matter, but the execution was FANTASTIC.
The performances, writing, effects...everything. Perfectly executed urban fantasy...pinch me.
