Review of Bright (2017) by Eludiumq36 — 07 Feb 2018
"Bright" is one of those "a little from column A and a little from column B" stories. It's a typical cop drama mixed with alien-racism, this and that from "The Fifth Element", and of course, Will Smith's over the top cowboy-ism.
The film has some decent action scenes and VFX but it throws out plausibility in the final 20-mins and that's its biggest disappointment. One other thing. This film had more of a tv series feel to it than a movie, especially since I watched it in 1/2 hr chunks.
I think it would do better as a short series maybe. To me, its announced sequel equates to a second season.
