Review of Brigadoon (1954) by Dan M — 13 May 2015
A slow and uncharacteristically dull Minnelli musical, made just after his superlative The Band Wagon. Gene Kelly unwisely choreographs himself, Van Johnson plays Oscar Levant and has all the best lines, and Cyd Charisse is dreadful.
Production design however is superlative (apart from the twee costumes).
